Anderson University Women’s Basketball Team Seeks Support After Thefts

The Anderson University women’s basketball team is seeking support after someone stole their luggage and equipment from the team van.

The theft occurred during the team’s trip to St. Louis for a tournament last weekend. Team head coach Jon Gin told local news stations that thieves stole game day jerseys, backpacks with laptops, iPads and iPods.

Despite the setback, the team attended the game wearing jerseys borrowed from Webster University.

The team created a GoFundMe page to help replace the stolen items and fund their mission trip to Costa Rica this summer. As of Monday morning, more than $3,000 had been raised.
